Cannot switch to Offline Mode

If I clicked to „Switch to Offline Mode”, I got this error message: "Unhandled Exception, An unhandled error occured in the application. You should restart the application to prevent further problems."

Then although I restart the application, next time when I try to go to offline mode I got this error message again.

I am using ASG-RemoteDesktop 2015 (switched from ASG 2012). Exact version is: 8.0.4958.0

Could somebody suggest some resolution?

ASG RD 2015 | Verbindungsregistern + fehlende Rechte

Hallo zusammen,

wir haben letzte Woche erfolgreiche eine Migration der 2012er DB durchgeführt.
Nun ist uns nach einer Woche testing folgende Fehler aufgefallen:

- man öffnet z.B. 3 SSH + 1 VNC + 1 RDP Verbindung und kann dann nicht mehr in den Verbindungsregistern hin und her wechseln, er nach dem schließen des aktuell geöffneten Fensters.

- es gibt vereinzelt fehlende "Anmeldeeistellungen", welche nicht mehr aktiv sind. Sprich man wird nun beim Verbindung öffnen nach Login Daten gefragt, obwohl die Anmeldeeinstellung bei der 2012er gesetzt war.

Installing 2012

Hi

I'm looking to install 2012 into a development environment so I can test the upgrade to 2015.

The database creates just fine, but after installing when clicking "connect" to open the app it returns back to the environment selection screen.

Are there any logs in ASG RD 2012 that I can view to find the problem?

2010 reinstall

I am having trouble re-installing VRD 2010. I installed it on 2 other computers and it worked fine. Now when I install it on my newer PC and another one it refused to take any license. Where is the license file located for 2010? Is it in the appdata roaming? Or do I need to import the registry license? I can't find any good info. Also... If it was purchased for 2010 will 2010 R2 work with the license? It seems to work on one computer but not on others.... Any help? Thanks!Big Grin

Hallo zusammen,
ich habe auf einer WS das Problem, dass ich nicht einmal zum Anmeldebildschirm der SQL DB komme. Zuvor erhalte ich die Fehlermeldung "der User hat nicht die Berechtigung zum Start des Programmes". Das öffnen einer lokalen DB funktioniert einwandfrei.
Wenn ich einen neuen lokalen Account einrichte und diesen im ASG entsprechend berechtige funktioniert es auch. Nur im Workprofil erhalte ich die Probleme.

Gibt es Files oder Keys, welche man löschen kann um eine saubere Config zu erhalten - da mit einem neuen Profil es ja funktioniert.

Profile File cannot be read

I have an active license, and am getting :

"Your profile file could not be read. Please correct this error by editing the file profile.xml"

Root element is missing.

I went ahead and deleted profile.xml, but after launching it cannot find my license file and says "Trial has expired". I dont currently know where the license file is, nor where I can re-download it from the site.

Any help is appreciated.

Putty completely not working

We are working on ASGRD 2015 patch 6: Everything works fine

After upgrading to patch 10 putty completely stops working. Putty starts, connection fails (Network Error - Connection Timed Out). If I switch to ponderosa the connection is fine.

We tested several configurations:

- Fresh install on Windows 8.1 and 10: OK
- Fresh install on Windows 7.1 (Virtual Box): NOK
- Upgrade from patch 6 to 10 on Windows 7.1 (using virtual box): NOK
We tested with both (virtual box) NAT and Bridged network settings.

When we use putty directly from the application directory: NOK

The component check shows everything is OK.

Please some advice? The application is being used by 45 consultants.

My ASG-RemoteDesktop hangs frequently. I think this occurs when I log out of an RDP session, but I can’t be sure. I have had this issue on multiple computers and multiple OS versions since VRD2012, and it seems to be getting worse with every release. I now have to close and restart as many as 7 or 8 times a day.

Today I upgraded to patch10 and it still exhibits the same problem.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

ASG-RemoteDesktop 2015 - menu bar and icons disappeared

Hi!
Please help me in solving the following problem: I’m using the 2015 version of the ASG-RemoteDesktop. The menu bar, and the icons have disappeared. Altough I can open any connection from the navigation pane, and I can use the find items pane – which is pinned to the main window, but due to the lack of the menu bar I can’t reach any other function of the application.
I wanted to try the SQL or the XML editing method described in 2011 in this forum thread, but I couldn’t find the settings.XML file in this version of the app and the structure of the SQL database has changed as well.

Guten Tag

Auf meinem PC läuft zur Zeit noch Visionapp Desktop 2010 R2.

Gestern habe ich ASG-Remote Desktop 2015 inkl. ASGRD2015Patch8 parallel installiert (wie meine Kollegen auch).

Hierbei bin ich wie folgt vorgegangen:

Beim Umgebungs-Assistenten habe ich via Hinzufügen „Verbinden auf eine existierende DB“ geklickt.
Unter DB Verbinden habe ich Umgebungsname, DB-Server und DB-Name eingefügt.

Leider habe ich beim DB-Name die DB vom alten VisionApp Desktop 2010 R2 agegeben.
Editieren und löschen im Umgebungs-Assistenten funktionieren nicht.
Fehlermeldung: ASG-RD 2015 funktioniert nicht mehr.
Ein Problem hat die richtige Ausführung dieses Programms verhindert. Schliessen Sie das Programm.

Habe via Systemsteuerung das Programm deinstalliert und wieder installiert.
Komischerweise holt sich das Tool direkt die DB mit den Angaben, der zuerst falsch eingetragenen (alten) DB.
Editieren oder löschen funktioniert auch jetzt nicht.

Habe sogar den PC auf einen früheren Zeitpunkt wiederhergestellt und die Registry bereinigt, mit der Suche nach ASG-Remote Desktop 2015.

Was und wo muss noch gelöscht werden, damit das Tool im Umgebungs-Assistenten leer ist?

Zufällige Tab Farben kann nicht deaktiviert werden

Hallo,
ich würde gerne nur für bestimmte Server farbige Tabs benutzen. Nach dem Upgrade von 2012 auf 2015 (Build 8.0.5013.0), werden alle Tabs mit zufälligen Farben geöffnet.
Deaktiviere ich die Einstellung unter "Connection -> Display > Tab Color" und bestätige die Änderung, ist diese wieder automatisch gesetzt. Ich habe es bei Default und bei Personal Values deaktviert. Ich habe es bei sämtlichen Ordnern über einem Objekt deaktivert. Jedes mal setzt sich die Einstellung erneut. Multi-Edit funktioniert ebenfalls nicht bei dieser Einstellung.
Die Tabs öffnen sich immer mit zufälligen Farben.
Habe ich irgendwo eine Einstellung übersehen?

I am running version 8.0.5013.0.

I want to report that Sort Alphabetically does not work on the Favorites list. Nor does it keep the order you place them in. It seem to randomly shuffle them out of order.

Any chance this will be fixed with an update?

Error when lauching from RD Gateway

I am looking for some assistance on the application that was requested to be installed on the RD Gateway jump boxes. I have installed the application on the web frontend boxes and received the following error.

'Couldn't open this program or file. Either there was a problem with ASG-Remote Desktop 2012 or the file you're trying to open couldn't be accessed.'

Believing that because the RDSLM01 server is the connection broker, I installed the application on this server as well. But, no luck there.

I was able to launch the application directly from the server, once I configured it. But, I still get the same error when launching the service from the RD Gateway.

The only error that I see on either the web and Connection Broker is the following event… Which is limited helpfulness.

visionapp.vCCCommonLib.ExeceptionHandler.vCCException
Update check failed

Since, I generally do not deal with this type of Application level issue nor have knowledge of the application directly, I am looking for any guidance in order to solve this issue.

Please advise.

Die verwendete Datenbank ist nicht kompatibel mit den Frontend-Modulen

Hallo. Wir verwenden ASG Remote Desktop 2012 mit einer DB auf SQL 2008 R2. Heute kommt plötzlich die Meldung "Die verwendete Datenbank ist nicht kompatibel mit den Frontend-Modulen. Wollen Sie die Datenbank jetzt aktualisieren?" nachdem es mehr als ein Jahr ohne Probleme funktioniert hat und nichts (bewusst) umgestellt wurde. Beim Einrichten des Datenbankprofils kann die Verbindung auf die DB erfolgreich getestet werden. Lokale Dateien können auch erstellt werden. Im Forum hier finde ich nichts mit Hinweis auf diese Fehlermeldung. Hilfe Smile

Fehlende Übersetzung beim Beenden von ASG Remote Desktop

Hallo!
Seit der ersten Version ASG Remote Desktop 2015 fehlen beim Beenden im Bestätigungsfenster noch die korrekten Übersetzungen. Dort steht immer noch "Yes" und "No". Wird das noch irgendwann behoben? Bin ich der einzige dem das aufgefallen ist?

Als Version habe ich übrigens "8.0.5034.1" im Einsatz.

cant import .vre file

I have a .VRE file but I cant import my connections because the only option for Import I see is a file extension of .RDE
