We have the older Visionapp 2010 product and are considering upgrading to ASG remote desktop. Are these the same product code bases or are they completely different?

Certificate error with Gecko/Firefox
Using latest patch and getting error with certificates...IE seems to ignore/accept it fine, but renders badly...Gecko/Firefox gives cert error, and won't ignore it...Work fine using stand alone IE11, and Firefox 42...bug?

Web Page Login into Page
Hi,
I have some device with authentication embedded in the page, and not standard web authentication.
It is possible to auto login also to this devices?

Instructions / Credential Inheritance
Is there any documentation for this product? Other than the help that is embedded which only states you can do something but doesn't explain how.
I cannot figure out the credentials/inheritance of this app. I just purchased it a few hours ago.

ASG-Remote Desktop startet nicht mehr
Hallo,
ASG-Remote Desktop startet nicht mehr auf meinem Win2008. Lief vorher problemlos.
Im Task-Manager kann ich beobachten das der Prozess ASGRD72.EXE für ein paar Sekunden erscheint und dann wieder verschwindet.
Ich hab schon
- deinstalliert / neu installiert
- in ..\ProgrammData den Ordner Visionapp gelöscht
- in ..\Users alle durchgegangen und auch Visionapp / ASG gelöscht.
Keine Profile mehr vorhanden.
Hat alles nix genutzt :-(
Was kann ich noch tun ?

Windows 10 support for ASG rd 2012
Is ASG rd 2012 able to run on windows 10? if not how do I upgrade to the newest version? Do I need to get a new license file or upgrade the database?

Installing SQL Database Keeps Failing
I am running through the setup of ASG RD to the point that it wants me to install SQL and create a database.
I have tried several times now with no success.
Here is the error I keep getting:
SQL Express
"Installation of SQL Express failed. Perhaps the system requirements "Windows Installer 4.5 or .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 are not installed or a password that you tried to use does not match with the password policy."
I have 4.5 .net framework. and i am creating an sa account with a password of "ASGRemote123!"
I have attached a screen shot of the error.
Please help asap!!!!

Visionapp 2008 to ASG Desktop 2015 security differences

We're looking at upgrading our Visionapp 2008 to ASG Remote Desktop 2015. In my attempts to dig into this I've noticed that some security options that exist in visionapp 2008 don't exist in ASG 2015.
Tools -> Permissions does not seem to exist in ASG 2015, at least with my initial, basic playing with the application. Is it context sensitive (IE you need the environment in a certain mode?) for it to show up? or is the security model different? If it is, how do I manage limited users in ASG 2015?
Additionally, i have been unable to find any documentation on an API - assuming there is one - for the product. Would I need to interact with the database directly to bulk create/modify connections, or is there an API I can script against?

Citrix ICA Login - Session Closes Immediately
I am a new user of ASG Remote Desktop so please take it easy on me ![Smile]( "Smile")
I have just configured a new Citrix ICA connection and a new user credential.
When attempting to connect to the Citrix ICA session I can see that the login process runs (initialises, then Windows login screen appears, then 'Welcome' appears on the Windows login screen) but the session closes immediately.
What is happening here and how do I fix it?

Unable to create accounts
Hi
I have ASG-RemoteDesktop in database mode with active user permissions.
I also have two user accounts (one Windows account, one Internal account) both in 'Administrators' Security Group.
I'm not able to create new user accounts.
In help (User management in database mode) I found this:
Under Tools|Permissions you can either select an existing user or create a new user after selecting Add|Add single user name.
However there is no such option (Tools|Permissions) available!
Can you please help me?

RDP plugin support
Hi,
I'm using ASG Remote Desktop 2015 on a 64bit Windows 8.1 machine and want to use RDP plugin DLLs, which do already work with mstsc.exe.
RDP plugin support had been enabled on the connection object but it is still not working. What is required to get it working? Does it need to be a 32-bit or 64-bit DLL and where does it need to be registered?

ASG Desktop 2015 security differences
We are on version 8.0.5034.1 (database mode)
all my users have SQL public and connect, select, & execute privileges
I have two Security "Administrators" and "Users"
-"Users" is read only and create private stuff.
-"Administrators" can do it all.
I have all my AD users in the "Users" groups and myself in the Administrators group.
but my users can only see the the top folders.
Why are permissions not working??!!??

Connection properties won't display
After upgrade the settings and connection properties won't display and cannot be accessed to see or modify. I only get a small box with
C... ? X
being displayed for the the connection I am trying to modify.
This is running on Windows 10 with ASG RD 2015 version 8.0.5091.0

restoring from bak file
I am having an issue with this application. When I start it, I get a notification that I need to upgrade my data source.

If I select Yes, the application crashes.

If I select No, then I get into Environment Manager and change settings, but nothing seems to work. I have a .xml.bak file that I renamed to settings.xml but I get the same issue. Can someone please help? I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall the application and that does not work either.

ASG License Issue
I have been using ASG Desktop since June of this year. A couple weeks ago when I started ASG it acted like I had trial copy of the software. A dialog was presented where I could Continue testing , Buy full version , import license file aor Register Freeware. I already have a corporate license that I believe expires Feb 2016.
Now I cant get into the application
